environmental projects - snohomish estuary Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Snohomish Estuary, Tulalip Tribes, Everett, WA Snohomish Estuary, Tulalip Tribes, Everett, WA Global Remote Sensing was tasked with creating tide-corrected bathymetry and contours of the riverbed and slough-bottom conditions in the Snohomish River and Estuary system for the purpose of generating high resolution bathymetric maps for the Snohomish River Estuary Restoration Feasibility Study. Multibeam and single beam bathymetric surveys were conducted between October 18th, and December 22nd, 2006, and required mobilization and demobilization of equipment aboard three separate vessels. Digital high-resolution ESRI grids were delivered to modeler's who verified and combined the bathymetric data with recently acquired Lidar data of intertidal regions and upland areas.
