Ports and Harbors - City of Bremerton Waterfront, WA Airport Expansion, Wrangell, AK City of Bremerton Waterfront, WA Hylebos Waterway, Port of Tacoma, WA Port of Tacoma, Blair Waterway Renton Outfall, Duwamish Head, WA
City of Bremerton Waterfront, WA Global Remote Sensing, LLC was contracted by Parametrix, Inc. to create comprehensive maps of seabed and subbottom conditions at the Proposed Bremerton Boardwalk (BBW) located along the western shoreline of the Port Washington Narrows in Bremerton, WA. Two independent surveys were conducted; a Chirp subbottom profile survey and a high-resolution multibeam bathymetry survey. Both surveys were conducted shoreline to shoreline from Sinclair Inlet to Smith Cove. The hydrographic survey was used to create seafloor contours in order to evaluate conditions for boardwalk placement and for sediment deposition or transportation studies. The subbottom survey provided information on the thickness of the stratigraphic layers and the location of sediment deposits. Positioning and tide data were acquired in real-time during the survey with RTK GPS. This work was performed on behalf of the City of Bremerton as part of the Bremerton Boardwalk project.
