GRS teams with Sea Engineering, Inc. to complete inshore

topographic and geophysical surveys for cable landing sites

in multiple countries in East Africa

Work has been completed by the combined efforts of GRS and SEI on its most recent international operation at landing sites in East Africa for survey support of a much larger telecommunications operation.  The GRS team was tasked with extensive survey work in South Africa, Mozambique, and Tanzania.  Due to tight scheduling, the second team from SEI team was sent into Madagascar to conduct similar operations there.  GRS team members reflect on their experiences on the ground.  Their comments commonly stressed that these operations are unlike any other in the world.  Limited Infrastructure, corruption, high crime, and bureaucracy all lend to operational complexities in this region.  GRS would like to thank those involved for the overwhelming success in Africa.
